Personal Responsibility by Richard Sherrer 03/29/23 The Soul Who Sins Shall Die Ezekiel 18:2-9 What do you mean by repeating, A proverb concerning the land; For the sour grapes you are seeding, Are on the edge of sinking sand. This proverb shall no more be used, For all the souls belong to God; The soul that sins will be refused, Because that soul has become flawed. If one does what is just and right, Because that person is righteous; Doing what is lawful in the light, God will see favor in His justice. If he eats not on the mountain, Nor lift eyes to false idols; Defiles a girl with his fountain, God ensures his spirit kindles. He does not oppress anyone, Restores to the debtor his pledge; Not shooting another with a gun, Nor pushing another off a ledge. He gives bread to those who hunger, Covers nakedness with some clothes; Never tries to be a whoremonger, As a righteous person, he chose, He never lends to get interest, Withholds his hand from injustice; Always is an evangelist, Because he is always righteous. He walks as taught by the rules, Faithfully acting the statutes; Avoiding death like all the fools. Persists in biblical pursuits.
